We regret to announce that, as of May 31, 2011, South Central will no longer provide cellular services. There are many competitive and financial disadvantages for a company our size to remain a network provider in the ultra competitive Cellular industry; and still provide the level of service we strive for and feel our customers deserve.  Moving forward, South Central will focus its resources on the services which have made us strong and have enhanced the communities where we continue to be the best option for Landline Phone, Cable TV, Internet, and other broadband services.

South Central is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Verizon Wireless that provides active, postpaid South Central customers with an opportunity to participate in a promotional offer from Verizon Wireless. Details regarding this special promotion are being mailed and will arrive before May 1, 2011 with a letter from South Central Communications. Following are some additional important details:

·         The Verizon Wireless promotion will be available starting May 1, through May 31,2011. The promotion will only be available to eligible subscribers who sign a contract for wireless service s with Verizon Wireless via the Promotion Website, Verizon Wireless telesales or a Verizon Wireless company-operated retail store or kiosk. 
·         If assistance is needed in participating in the Verizon Wireless promotion customers can come into one of our stores, call one of our customer service representatives for more details.
·         In addition to the promotion offered by Verizon Wireless, South Central is offering a $10 credit per account that switches to Verizon Wireless by May 15, 2011. This credit will be applied to any South Central service, excluding landline phone. If a customer doesn’t currently have another South Central service, they can sign up by May 15, 2011 and receive of the credit. 
·         South Central will no longer be enforcing early termination fees on remaining term agreements.
·         Switching to Verizon Wireless is not mandatory; however South Central believes that Verizon Wireless is the best choice for our wireless customers.

·         South Central will be turning off its wireless network on May 31, 2011. Customers need to switch to another wireless carrier before that date.   
·         South Central will continue to offer bundled pricing on our Triple-Play of services (video, voice, and internet).
·         Our Landline, Internet, Cable TV, Business Systems, Fiber Circuits, and other services will NOT be affected by this change. South Central will continue to operate as usual in regard to these services.

Once again, South Central has appreciated the opportunity to be your wireless carrier and remain committed to providing premium services and strengthening the communities which it serves. We believe Verizon Wireless will provide the best option for South Central’s customers to enjoy superior wireless service, and we encourage you to take advantage of this special promotion.
